1. The a/c is repaired....Hooray!!!! The best thing that's happened around here in weeks.
2. We're both sick with heavy colds. Is there anything more miserable than a cold virus during hot weather? Probably not much.
Yesterday at work I just wanted to crawl into a hole somewhere and die. I was miserable, what with sneezing, coughing, sweating, and body aches all while having to put on a pleasant face and run the front office. It was simply awful and the day dragged. I'm hoping today isn't just a repeat of that, but so far this morning I'm not very hopeful. I woke up feeling the same as yesterday.
At least it will be cool and pleasant in the house when I make it back home to collapse on the bed.
I have that darn summer cold also. It came over me quickly and I hope it leaves at the same speed.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to read the A/C is functioning well again.
HURRAY FOR THE AC!!!!
ReplyDeleteAll right- I'm gong to play mother here. You should NOT be a work. Not only for yourself but for all the other people. I know that not going in on the last days of the year is probably not even possible but Lord, I can't imagine anything much more miserable.
That's MY pie chart! Hope you BOTH recover quickly! What a relief about the AC.
ReplyDeleteI wish you both get well soon.
ReplyDeleteYAYZ for repaired air conditioner! take it easy this weekend so that both of you can return to good health. I prescribe plenty of wine!
ReplyDeleteSo happy the AC is working !
ReplyDeleteYou will be feeling better soon because you can be comfortable along with the gud dugs.
parsnip xx
You have the weekend to get a bit better. Take advantage.
ReplyDeleteA cold in cold weather means there's not even a pretty sky to look at
ReplyDeleteGreat pie chart, I like the complaining about being sick section. Be well.
ReplyDeleteOh you poor thing! It must have been difficult fielding all the stuff that comes your way at the school's front desk. When does your summer vacation start?
ReplyDeleteWe have one more week of school...two whole days (Monday and Tuesday) two half days (Wednesday and Thursday) and then Friday is a day without students for teachers and staff to clean out their rooms/offices/desks and to finish up any leftover business. I'm not sure if I'll have to work on Friday or not. In any case, by next Saturday I'll be home free!
DeleteUgh! Can you call in sick? Is that an option? I always feel justified, working in a school -- after all, don't want to make the kiddies ill. (Even though they probably GAVE you that cold!)
ReplyDeleteYP anticipated my question too -- when's your last day? Must be close. We have two more weeks to go.
I was afraid that there wouldn't be anyone to cover for me if I called in sick. I was tempted, believe me!
DeleteI was going to say/ask exactly what YP and Steve wrote.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, you will be rid of that nasty cold quickly.
It's truly awful, Meike. One more week of school though!
DeleteIt's horrible to be so sick, but it would be even worse if the AC still weren't repaired. I hope you both feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Sorry you're not feeling well. I don't colds often, but when I do it's not good to be around me.
