He was a cross between a German Shepherd and a Manchester Terrier. She has multiple pets and works long hours, just like us, which is part of the reason she is often behind on housework, too. And I did give the bathroom a good cleaning before she came over, at least!Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12512800812290518552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830720322970025712.post-77590521030035031162015-11-30T09:25:29.515-05:002015-11-30T09:25:29.515-05:00Thanks Cro! I'm off tomorrow (Tuesday) and will get everything back in order then. After what Cro said, I hardly dare outing myself as one of those women with a (nearly) spotless flat... but there you go, it's just me, I simply love being in neat and tidy surroundings but don't expect everyone else to enjoy it. Each to their own, I say, and as you and your friend are comfortable with messy houses, then that's fine. I also very, very well understand the need to escape from what can feel like unpleasant duties every now and then, so your lunch, TV and chatting session with your friend was really the best you could do on your day off, after all you've been through recently.Librarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704656564078750607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830720322970025712.post-27104840182978690052015-11-29T23:54:18.536-05:002015-11-29T23:54:18.536-05:00There is a well known saying about women and spotl...There is a well known saying about women and spotless houses, but I'm not going to repeat it. Let's just say that a messy house is a sign that you have better things to do. We recently had that 'water all over the kitchen floor' business, ours turned out to be a tiny hole in a washing machine pipe; instead of fixing it, we bought a new machine.Cro Magnonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06840670227576695352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830720322970025712.post-42161645406700255122015-11-29T23:30:38.078-05:002015-11-29T23:30:38.078-05:00An alternative to the above might be the voice in ...An alternative to the above might be the voice in your head "Thisere house ain't gonna clean itself!"

But the reason I'm here is your last post, the book review. Actually that's not why I'm here, I like your blog even if I don't often comment. Ms. Smith also did a book you might check out: "Maggie-Now". It's quite different than "Tree", and a lot of her fans don't like it, but it's worth reading.

cheers,
Mike

Should Fish Morehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18400586203204886095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830720322970025712.post-80521751905122668292015-11-29T20:24:46.124-05:002015-11-29T20:24:46.124-05:00You are a very naughty Jennifer! Rather than tackling the whole thing, my suggestion is to earmark exactly one hour for cleaning and tidying. Begin by accepting you won't get it all done and then work like a demon for exactly sixty minutes. You may be surprised how much impact this can have and then you can reward yourself with a drink of your choice.Yorkshire Puddinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06019673884543913089noreply@blogger.com
