I was off today so a friend and I went to lunch, and then browsed around the farmer's market. We both enjoyed the gorgeous weather, and resisted the urge to spend money on fall flowers and decorations. Everything is so pretty at the market this time of year! I wanted to buy some of everything!
After so many days of rain and gloom, sunshine and blue skies are good for the soul!
Great photographs Jennifer, all lovely and bright and colourful and sunny!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was a bright and colorful kind of day!
DeleteI like the mums. Those are mums, right? They sure don't look like that here.
ReplyDeleteThey are indeed mums! I thought they were very nice, too. I wanted some for my patio, but am trying to save money right now, so I passed them up. Sigh. :)
DeleteHappy to hear that you survived the floods Jennifer. I loved your second picture - so rich in colour. Your American pumpkins at $8 each are the same price as the pumpkins I saw in our local English supermarket yesterday.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny to think that 3000 miles apart, our pumpkins cost the same!
DeleteThanks for the nice comment!
Nice bright pictures to celebrate your survival. I'm not with you about the 'Mums'. They are sold here for All Saints Day, and people decorate the graves with them. They give me the creeps.
ReplyDeleteYou're right about the mums...they remind me of Dia de Los Muertos celebrations, Halloween, and autumn funerals. They ARE a bit creepy, aren't they?
DeleteSuch wonderful colors.
ReplyDeleteI love all the colors!
DeleteSo beautiful, Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteThank you for standing by my side against the trolls:) a brave woman.
You are quite welcome, my friend! :)
DeleteAren't they though? I was worried autumn would all but pass us by this year, when cool weather struck abruptly in late August, but thankfully things picked back up and the last couple of weeks in particular have been downright gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI hope that despite the recent floods, you're doing well and are still able to enjoy this enchantingly pretty season.
Big hugs & joyful October wishes,
♥ Jessica
