Last of the Season

I went to the small farmer's market down the street this morning to see what vegetables and fruit I could find. They will only be open for another week, and then will close until March. I bought potatoes, onions, and turnips. They were also doing a good business in fresh Christmas trees from the North Carolina mountains, and wonderful looking citrus fruits from Florida.

I'll miss the market for the next three months.

Pine trees and citrus smell like Christmas!

  1. Phew! I am glad to see that you dodged The Zombies At The Mall during the power outage.... unless of course they got you and you are now a red eyed zombie! No wonder there's nobody else in view at the small farmer's market! By the way how small are the farmers of South Carolina? Are they knee high?

  2. At our biggest customer's, I am currently involved in 4 different projects. For one of those projects, today we had our last meeting for 2015. It feels strange to think that it is that time of year again, where you know some things won't happen again until 2016.

    1. Yes, it's always a strange feeling when you realize another year is almost over!

  4. Why do they close down? No markets here close for winter!

    1. Business slows way down after the holidays, and the market that's just down the road is a small offshoot of the big market at the edge of the city. The stall at the main market stays open all year, but it's much less convenient for me!
