Perverts and Thieves

What a night!

First, we had yet another pervert exposing himself at the bookstore. Yes, you read that right--another one. It's happened several times before. Tonight's creep was standing in a corner by the science fiction section, with his penis out, masturbating. Two teenage girls saw him, screamed, and ran to tell the store manager. Meanwhile several other customers saw him going at it, too. When the manager went over there, he looked her right in the eye and still kept on! So she turned away abruptly and starting dialing the police, and he finally took off running. He ran out of the store, and across the parking lot, and we assumed that the police would never find him.

Here is my favorite part of the story.

A lady cop showed up to fill out the report. Even though about 20 minutes had gone by, and he was probably long gone, she said she was going out to drive around to see if she saw anyone who fit his description. And that's when she spotted him.....climbing out of a restaurant dumpster he had been hiding in!! Hahaha!!!! We all got a laugh out of the thought of him hiding in a smelly dumpster until he thought the coast was clear, only to climb out and find a female cop standing there!

So the nasty pervert got arrested and is in jail tonight. He was already on a sex offender list--it seems that he's an habitual public masturbater. He told the cops that he "has an addiction " and can't help himself. Disgusting!

That was my night at work. Then when I got home, and went out to walk the dogs, I discovered that somebody had stolen the Bernie Sanders sign from my front yard. Undoubtedly it was one of my lovely Trump supporting neighbors. I was so mad! I'm still fuming over the nerve of some people!

Perverts and thieves....that's been my Sunday night.

  2. You need to get a huge billboard outside your house with a massive new advert for Colonel Sanders upon it. Did Dumpster Man have an uncanny resemblance to Donald Trump by any chance? It is a hell of a co-incidence that Dumpster Man's favourite pastime is the same as Trump's!

    1. Ha! I told Gregg I'm going to put up a new, bigger Sanders sign, INSIDE the fence, so they'll have to get past our two large dogs if they want to take it.

Dumpster man was a pathetic, bald, middle aged man....come to think of it, all he would need is an orange wig to resemble Trump!

  3. Some addictions are best kept at home. Glad he was caught. Sign stealing is just an exposure of someone's insecurities and inability to form a complete thought or control their larcenous nature.

    1. If he kept his addiction at hime, he'd miss out on the fun of horrifying innocent strangers. My manager said she wanted to gouge her eyes out after seeing him fully exposed "in all his glory". Some things you just can't unsee!

  4. Although largely considered harmless (i.e. hardly ever taking the step from exposing themselves to actually physically touching any of their victims), it can be very upsetting for anyone to come across someone with that particular problem, of course especially for children.
Therefore, although I am not sure laughing at his stint in the dumpster helps, I hope being caught (again!) will lead to him getting therapy for his addiction. He must be very disgusted with himself in his clear moments.
But even more than that, I seriously hope not too many people saw him, because as you say, some things you can not unsee.

    1. Besides two teenage girls and their mom, and my manager, the only other people that saw him were three adult men,one of whom was a big burly marine who chased him when he started to run. He's lucky that the marine didn't catch him. He told us he had fully intended to beat the guy to a pulp if he had.

What was so disgusting is that the guy was exposing himself only a few feet from our children's department. Thank goodness there were no children in the store at that time. And although we did laugh about the dumpster dive, I can assure you no one was making light of the situation. It happens too frequently and is too upsetting for that. I'm just glad he got caught. He's been arrested twice before for the same crime, so he'll be spending some time in jail. Which is the best place for him. If we were interested in getting help he would have done it by now.

  5. I have come across a man doing this with just me for the audience, in Venice. I was at first appalled and then amused and only later did I feel any fear about it. It was a very lonely spot in the north of the City and I had stood by the lagoon with him watching me for some time before he approached me. He then came very close to me with his flies undone and his penis in his hand. It was laughable but then again not all, at the same time. I was not going to tell anyone in the party I was with that it had occured so as not to upset anyone but a few days later I told them over dinner. We were all females together and one lady spoke of her first husband abusing her children and broke down in tears having never been able to discuss it before. It was a weird situation when I felt apologetic for what had happened but we have been close friends ever since and she said I did her a great service in enabling her to be able to let go and talk about it. She is in her 80s and a painter. I agree with Librarian, you can never unsee.

    1. It happened to me too. I was leaving the public library and a guy was leaning against my car, waiting for me with his penis out. It scared me, because my car was parked in small alley and it was almost dark. When I backed away, he jumped in his car and drove off. I was shaken, but unharmed.

    1. On another note...

I'm off to vote momentarily. Folks here in Vermont have been excited for Bernie but I fear the end of his road is near...

  7. I have a solution for people such as your Dumpster Man. I'll go and sharpen it if you like.

    1. That seemed to be the attitude of the two men who chased him. I think there would have been violence had they caught him--lucky for dumpster man that the police got to him instead!

  8. I'm afraid I am a tad long in the tooth to be tolerant of such folk, as Cro says there is a solution.

    1. I really think that a repeat offender like dumpster man should be locked up and forced into some sort if treatment program. I'm certainly sorry for anyone with mental health problems, but the public shouldn't be forced to continue to witness such behavior!

  9. Unfortunately sex addiction seems to be quite an epidemic, and those men in the grip of it will seldom admit it's an addiction and get treatment for it. Even when arrested numerous times as a public nuisance, they'll carry on regardless. It's hard to see what can be done about it.

Election posters are often stolen or defaced here as well. I would certainly expect such behaviour from Trump's supporters.

    1. Trump supporters are barely a step above perverts in opinion....and could potentially do far more harm.
