It snowed for about 4 hours this morning--the first snowfall of the year. It melted away almost immediately, though.
This week is supposed to have a few nights that get down to well below freezing.
Crazy weather!
Snow and pollen. Winter in South Carolina! |
This winter is just bizarre. The temperature fluctuation is giving me whiplash. Apparently we're supposed to get a big snowstorm on Tuesday.. but that's not too strange since our state doesn't have the word "South" in its name. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is what I dread. Just when all the trees are in flower, they can be frosted overnight, and no fruit for another year!
ReplyDeleteIt is all over the world, crazy weather.
ReplyDeleteSo far, we have not had anything like it in the weather forecast, but I wouldn't rule it out completely, either. We've often had years with very mild weather in February or March, only for the cold and snow to come back as late as April. But then it never lasts long - just long enough for the fruit tree blossoms to die :-(
ReplyDeleteThat snow and pollen is a bit creepy! Every time someone would say in recent weeks, "Spring is here," I would touch wood. Obviously, it didn't work.
ReplyDeleteCrikey ..... the world's gone crazy. Snow and pollen at the same time. That's weird, aye??
ReplyDeleteYou ended your last post with "Spring is well underway in South Carolina" so this snow was obviously a message from God Almighty. Only God gets to decide when Spring has sprung, not animal loving retail workers!
ReplyDeleteI am surprised that you got snow so far south. We got a little on Friday that only stuck on the grass but we have been alerted that we are to get "the big one" tonight. Mother Nature is an old, old woman and I, myself, getting up in my years, can understand how she could confuse February and March.
ReplyDeleteGood one!
DeleteSnow and pollen! Whoa! We're supposed to get a freeze on Wednesday, I think. North Florida. I've seen this before although not in a long time. I remember once is snowed HERE in March. It snowed in the Bahamas that year too.
ReplyDeleteIt is odd to see a palm tree surrounded by snow.
ReplyDeleteI am really hoping that we just get rain, we don't need any more that frozen crap.
