The devil in the pantry

Somebody kept flying into the pantry every time I opened the door to take out an ingredient for our dinner tonight. And refused (refused!) to come back out.

He was after the walnuts and prepared to fight me for them.

    1. A toddler in the house....permanently. He'll probably outlive us both.

    1. He IS fun, but he can be a real pain in the ass, too. Everyone thinks it's all cuteness and fun and laughs with parrots...well, that's part of it, but there's also lots of ear-piercing shrieking, demands for attention, messiness, and they're about the most high maintenance pet you can imagine.

  10. I think you should consider calling your blog parrot tree journal. He’s pretty darn cute. I’d give him the walnuts.

    1. Well, we used to have a little rescue sparrow named Chip who came before Marco, and he lived in a ficus tree in our house, and that's how this blog got its name. :)
