One reason I wanted to start a second book club was to have the chance to read things my other club probably wouldn't consider. And as for not reading fantasy fiction--my husband probably wouldn't either. In fact, he's not a big fan of fiction in general. He likes stuff that to me would be very dry and dull--history, politics, etc.Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12512800812290518552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830720322970025712.post-59172509319361167812016-05-31T09:59:02.007-04:002016-05-31T09:59:02.007-04:00I really think you'd like it, Meike! And if you like Harry Potter, then you're almost guaranteed to love Uprooted!Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12512800812290518552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830720322970025712.post-73974711648176326362016-05-31T06:55:11.463-04:002016-05-31T06:55:11.463-04:00Well done. I am just not into fantasy stuff - ghosts and dragons and magic etc.. Nevertheless, I admire your enthusiasm and hope that the book club meeting becomes an enjoyable and regular habit.Yorkshire Puddinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06019673884543913089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830720322970025712.post-39489133202069852812016-05-31T01:04:21.013-04:002016-05-31T01:04:21.013-04:00Thank you for the interesting but not too revealin...Thank you for the interesting but not too revealing review! From my pre-teens well into my twenties, I read tons of Fantasy books, some dark, some less so. It seems as if I have exhausted all my motivation for reading this type of story; with the exception of the Harry Potter books (which I LOVE), I haven't read any proper book of the story in many years. Your review almost makes me want to pick it up again :-)Librarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704656564078750607noreply@blogger.com
