We had strawberries for dessert last night, strawberries with our breakfast cereal today, and there are three big ziplock bags of berries in the freezer, destined to become daiquiris this summer. Before the season ends I'll be buying more of these beauties to eat and to freeze for later. They're absolutely delicious!

Now they look most tasty Jennifer, funny how terms differ, you mention 'Flats' but I remember picking strawberries by the 'Punit'. Makes me think I might go a picking this week.

Strawberry time here too; we've been taking advantage. We have a local variety called Gariguette which is just fantastic. No doubt Lady Magnon will be jam making before long.
Ooh! Strawberry jam.....Why didn't I think of that?! That is a great idea!!!!!! Time to break out the canning equipment!
