September is here, and the morning sun is golden and streams into our house from a different angle now. The weather is cooler since the storm blew through, the humidity is down, and the sky is much more blue. The days are noticeably shorter.
I love beautiful mornings like today. I brought my coffee and written journal to the dining room table this morning where the best windows in the house are.
Mornings are for coffee and contemplation.
May I join you for a cup of coffee, Jennifer? :)
ReplyDeleteGreetings Maria x
By all means, dear Maria! Pull up a chair and pour yourself a cuppa!
DeleteThe hummingbird on the table mat seems to be trying to get inside your flowery journal. I wonder what secrets he might find there...
ReplyDeleteThe hummingbird table mats were one of my rare good finds at the local Goodwill. They came in a set with the box still intact and like new. The set is worth about $75 and I got it for $3.
DeleteSo that was the secret the inquisitive hummingbird was hoping for?
DeletePerfect !
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip and thehamish
We're still waiting for that season changing storm over here. It'll come, then we'll wish it hadn't. Until then we remain hot-n-dry.
ReplyDeleteI love this time of the year, although it makes me slightly melancholy at the same time, with the nights drawing in way earlier now.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful picture, capturing the atmosphere so well, but you really shouldn't wait until your fruit turns all brown - it should be eaten fresh :-)
Ha! Ha! Brown fruit? Nice one Meike!
DeleteFunny!
DeleteThat's a very pretty journal.
ReplyDeleteAnother bargain find...we had a big clearance sale at the bookstore, and when the price of it all was reduced to $2 we realized that a whole lot of items had been missed. ...including expensive leather journals. I think it's pretty, too!
DeleteWish i could also have coffee with you and Maria:)
ReplyDeleteMe too Yael! I wish we weren't all scattered all over the world.
DeleteAnd me too!
