Pictures from the Peddler

For absolutely no reason at all, I feel a bit of the old Sunday afternoon gloom coming on. I'm not sure how I want to spend the day. I'm feeling bored (unusual for me) and a little bit restless. I wish Gregg had the day off too but he always works on Sundays. Nothing I can think of to do seems appealing.

I'm also feeling a tad bit irritable.

Oh well. At least I seem to be over the worst of the stomach bug that tormented me last week.

So that reading this isn't a total waste of your time, I'm including some photos I took yesterday at a big giant flea market here in Florence called Palmetto Peddlers. I enjoyed looking around at all the crazy stuff, but didn't end up buying anything.

Have a good Sunday, everyone.

    1. I never noticed the diver's package until you said something! Ha!

I was shocked at the racist figurines. I had to take pictures to share because they're so weird, but I would never buy such things or anything else from the vendor selling them.

      The old cameras were interesting.

  2. *scrolls back to the diver*

I was thinking that all the wicker primate needs is a huge dong.

    1. Well, there's another "package" I can no longer un-see. Hahaha!

    2. Are you referring to the knife in his belt? Useful for self defence and cracking open oysters.

  3. My BFF who relocated to SC used to have collections of things she rotated seasonally. Up here she had room to store it all. In SC, far less room. She sold so much! And a second to anne marie, slip on by racist displays. Be part of the solution.

    1. I won't be spending any money on racist displays. I was merely shocked that anyone would display such things in 2019.

  4. Nice photos! I LOVE the monkeys.
Hope your Sunday picked up a little bit in the spirits department. Sundays sure can suck, can't they?

    1. Those monkeys on the border of the mirror are downright bizarre!

I just can't bring myself to like Sundays. They sure can suck, as you say.

  5. That is a wide array of things, did the hydrangeas tempt you? I have several and can always squeeze in one more.

  6. You have had a strange few weeks lately. Sundays can always be the catch-up day or yes Monday is coming. I hope everything will be better this week.
I like the items outside better than inside.

  9. Goodness! What an array of weird and wonderful - and some of them downright awful - things! I am not surprised you didn't buy anything.
Your Sunday afternoon feelings are understandable; you've been through a lot at work recently, plus you were ill. I hope things will be looking up for you again this week.
By the way, did you pop back to your former post and see my comment there (reg. your card)?
As usual, I am way too late to post anything - my only excuses are the business trip to Berlin and the upcoming trip to England adding to my level of busy-ness.

  10. There were certainly some interesting items but it is surprising that you did not include any photos of giant fleas. Over here in England, we only have very small fleas and it would be interesting to see what your much bigger American fleas look like. I bet they bite like crazy.

  11. I would have bought that deep sea diver for our terrace! That’s a dangerous flea market for me. I love weird... um, unusual. We had that chef pig but he held a pot for wooden spoons.

  12. I have a fireplace fan just like the one in your last picture... though no fireplace.
