I got a text from the school bookkeeper at 7am this morning:
Do you have a Christmas sweater to wear today?
The answer was "No" and so she said she had one for me....and here it is! Hahaha!
Later on when I saw the Spanish teacher walking past the office I called her over to see my "Feliz Navidad" sweater, and guess what?
And Señora and I get to be twinsies for today!
adorable twins!
ReplyDeleteGracias!
DeleteVery Nice!
ReplyDeleteWe've been having so much fun at work this week...the Principal felt like the mood was too gloomy so he had his secretary go out and buy a ton of gift cards and small gifts. They handed out raffle tickets to the whole staff and every hour during class change he blasts corny Christmas music on the intercom and then reads off a winning ticket number! The crazy sweaters and socks have been fun, too. :)
DeleteThat is cute!!!! I bought one for a similar thing at work last year, to be told it was more cute than tacky.
ReplyDeleteCute is better than tacky, though! Right? :)
DeleteVery cute! I especially dig the reindeer with the maracas. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou've reminded me that I didn't even acknowledge our tacky Christmas sweater day on my blog -- it was last Friday!
I like the reindeer too! And if you look closely, you'll see that:
Delete1. Three chili peppers on the palm tree actually stick out, so it looks like they're emerging from my right boob. Lol.
2. Santa's beard is soft and fuzzy.
3. Santa's sombrero is trimmed with teeny tiny real jingle bells.
Adorable and I’m glad your wearing it lol.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised when the bookkeeper texted me this morning that she had bought me a sweater! She said she thought of me because I speak a little Spanish. How could I not wear it? :)
DeleteJealous here! I LOVE your sweaters! The most festive wear i have seen yet this covid christmas
ReplyDeleteSee my reply to Dave! We've been having a really good time at work this week despite Covid restrictions that mean our normal luncheon and prize raffle won't happen this year. The Principal found a way to do a prize raffle and we're getting individual packed lunches on Friday. It won't be as fun as having all the staff eating together, but I admire his determination to make this week nice for us. Work is turning out to be the most festive part of this Christmas!
DeleteOkay. I sort of love your sweater. If I HAD to wear a tacky Christmas sweater, I would definitely choose that one.
ReplyDeleteI drove past a Goodwill today and the sign out front said, "Get your ugly Christmas sweater here!" I kept right on driving.
BTW- You are adorable. So is Senora.
I adore Senora. She's just the sweetest person.
DeleteFeliz navidad!
ReplyDeleteYour principal has the right idea. My daughter has just left a school where the principal was doing all he could to ban fun. It's no wonder they can't keep the good teachers
That was me, sorry, used the wrong account
ReplyDeleteUmmmm....I'm sorry, who is this? It still says Anonymous!
DeleteWhat do you mean tacky. They are wonderful. Especially your price.
ReplyDeleteExactly! You can't beat "FREE".
DeleteI love it! A lot of people around here have tacky Christmas sweater parties but I'm like you and I don't want to spend a lot of money for one. I bet it was a fun day!
ReplyDeleteEvery day is better and better this week! We've been having a blast!
DeleteWhat Fun !
ReplyDeleteWe've been having so much fun at work this week. I'm so lucky, having this job!
DeleteHa ha ha! Or should that be Ho Ho Ho :-)
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me - I have a tacky sweater, need to find it for my last video conference of the year with my biggest client; there will be around 20 of us at our daily project meeting, right up until the 23rd (my last working day of this year). I bought my sweater for a song a year or two ago at the super market, and as long as I don't grow or shrink considerably, I will keep wearing it once or twice a year for a long time to come.
I want to know Little P.'s reaction when he sees your sweater!
Little P is such a joy! He laughed and started to sing "Feliz Navidad" when he saw it. That boy might be a genius. I forget sometimes that he's only 7 years old. (I thought he was 8 until recently, for some reason).
DeleteSeñora’s is almost tasteful. Yours, on the other hand, wins tacky. Hands down. And it makes me laugh. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThe chili peppers that stick out of my right boob still make me snicker when I think about it! Ha!
DeleteSo much fun.
ReplyDeleteToday was even better!
DeleteIt is nice of your principal to want to lift the spirits of those that work with him. Glad you were able to join in on the fun! Feliz Navidad!
ReplyDeleteFeliz Navidad to you, too!
DeleteBeing cynical creatures, Jenny and I have no interest in Christmas sweaters and regard them as just another commercial stunt. But if other people like the idea, who are we to spoil their fun?
ReplyDeleteI mostly feel the same way, Nick. I would never spend money on one. I have no idea why my coworker spent $25 on this (the price tag was still on it) and gave it to me, but she was being nice. And it did make me laugh!
DeleteYou are both hiding your faces. Have you perchance converted to Islam?
ReplyDeleteIt feels like it some days! Except now the men have to hide their faces, too!!
DeleteThat's probably because they are ugly. Not Gregg of course... nor the school principal!
DeleteI've never had a tacky Christmas sweater, or a nice one--if that's a thing--but I quite enjoy it when other people wear them.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I've never had a tacky Christmas sweater, but it always seemed like good harmless fun! You and Senora have proved that correct! Feliz Navidad, Jennifer. Or as my grandson bellows 'Feliz Naughty Dog!'
