It began to snow around lunchtime yesterday and carried on all day and most of the night. This morning, I'd say we have around 6 inches of accumulation. It's not supposed to get above freezing today and nighttime temperatures are dropping to record lows (the wind chill was near 0 degrees at sunrise) so the snow should stick around. It sure is pretty!
Here's a little video I took just now to show you.
And here's a video from late yesterday afternoon when the snow was just getting started and we took the dogs out for a walk:
WINTER!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFor real!
DeleteIt is pretty. We got about four inches and today it's sunny and freezing, but so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWe got just under 6 inches. It's very, very cold here too.
DeleteIt seems weird to see so much snow on southern pines and sago palms!
ReplyDeleteIt sure does!
DeleteWow--you weren't kidding! Enjoyed your videos Jennifer 🥶🙂
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's been a rare treat for us.
DeleteYou’re right. It IS pretty. I must admit it’s more beautiful than our gloom. I enjoyed the videos, especially your walk with the dogs — and Gregg!
ReplyDeleteThe only reason Gregg let me share that video is that he was so bundled up you really couldn't see much of him at all! Haha.
DeleteThe dogs seem to be undaunted!
ReplyDeleteThey've done well with it. I'm surprised since they hate rain!
DeleteThere is no denying snow is pretty. Everyone seems to be getting snow this year. And I love watching dogs in the snow.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably prettier when it's rare. :)
DeleteWe are having a heat wave. It is up to 21 degrees!
ReplyDeleteLol!!!!!
DeleteGlad you are enjoying it! No snow shovels or snow plows where you are?! You'll just have to stay home until Mother Nature decides to melt it all! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteNo and no. We have to wait on melting! School is online tomorrow so I won't have to leave the house.
DeleteIt is very pretty. Don't want to make you jealous, but our high for the day was 26 (F).
ReplyDeleteOur high was 32, low tonight of 12. 12!!!!
DeleteI love seeing happy dogs.
ReplyDeleteThey don't seem bothered by the snow at all. Poppy likes running around in it!
DeleteI don't really associate your part of the world with SNOW. Occasional rain here, but otherwise OK.
ReplyDeleteSnow is very rare here! That's why there's so much excitement when we get any beyond a few flurries. :)
DeleteIt looks very picturesque! I hope the wildlife in your area copes reasonably well with the snow and cold, not really being used to it.
ReplyDeleteI've been texting with several neighbors who (along with us) have been putting out food for the stray cats, birds, squirrels, etc. A couple of people have put out heated cat boxes, too. :)
DeleteThere is something magical about snow! I loved the video with the dogs. We haven't been able to go out walking because our sleet storm from over a week ago never melted and the streets are ice skating rinks. School is closed again today...makes for six days!
