Flowers for Tom S.

Tom's post this morning reminded me of a funny article I read just last night about how florists in Colorado and California have started to offer "cannabis bouquets" for sale. What better way to say "I love you" to your stoner sweetie than with an arrangement of pretty marijuana flowers and buds?

What's that old song with the line about..."Your love....has lifted me higher....than I've ever....been lifted before....."

Hahaha!

What a hoot. Imagine a bunch like that being delivered.

That is not cannabis, but it may be 'cannaben', whatever that is. I have given my mother a cannabis pot-plant when she was alive, and she took it home delighted with something she had not seen before. She put it by the TV then one night a policeman showed her what it actually was...

That gift would be quite a surprise.

Crikey ..... is that legal??????? My Mum would have no idea. You could send her a cannabis bouquet and she wouldn't know what it was. She and Dad used to own a motel and one day she was cleaning one of the rooms and found a plastic bag with all this green stuff in it. She showed it to Dad who said it was marijuana. She had no idea. the people that left it behind must have been real upset cause it was a big bagful and probably cost a lot of money. Mum threw it in the bin as fast as she could.

It is not marijuana. It looks quite legal to me.

That's a good reason to move to California and Colorado.

It certainly looks like marijuana to me. And it's legal for medical and recreational use in Colorado and California (and a handful of other states, too.

What is cannaben? I've never heard of such a thing.

Aside from the eucalyptus and filler flowers in the second photo, of course. :)

They're making tons of money from the tax revenue that benefits those states, from what I understand.

It would be legal in certain syates...not South Carolina though.

Haha....those buds look like something from the cover of High Times!

It sure would!

Imagine the fragrance....

No Nope not for me, I am allergic to it. I should be a tracking drug "dog" person. I start getting sick coughing and breaking out in a rash if it touches me.
A little hello from the Republic of Boulder !

cheers, parsnip

Oh my gosh, I hope you didn't discover your allergy by inhaling it. That seems like it could have dire consequences!

I can understand Tom's comment, the Cannabis grown today is very different looking to the stuff we used to grow from Mouse food seeds. It's probably all F1 hybrid.

I wouldn't know what it is unless someone told me (or there was a label attached) - I'd simply be pleased to receive a beautiful, fragrant bouquet!

Mouse food seeds! 🐀

I think developing new strains is big business on the West Coast. A coworker of mine went into a shop when he was visiting Colorado and he said there were dozens and dozens of varieties for sale. I can't imagine such a thing.

The one with the eucalyptus in that bottom photo probably smells especially nice!

Those bouquets are lovely, and your post made me laugh. Those florists are very creative. "Your love has lifted me higher", LOL.
