Plenty of room for a few hens and fruit trees!

The light this time of year is just so beautiful, isn't it!

In England, only wealthy people have that much space around their homes. I would love to live in a detached house like you and Gregg.

Beautiful! I love that clear blue autumn sky. It's like that here too -- when it's not raining.

It looks so nice and rural where there are streets you can ride a bike on safely.

On average, London receives 23 inches of rain a year. Florence SC receives 45 inches and Miami FL receives 62 inches.

Neil, our rainfall might be higher, but we have a LOT more heat to absorb all the rain. I imagine England SEEMS more rainy than us even though you technically get a lot less.

Our neighborhood is a nice, quiet circle with no through traffic, but we're smack in the middle of the city....not rural at all!

I love living in a detached house, but our lot is very small. We purposely wanted to keep lawn maintenance to a minimum!

I think these photos make our yard look larger than it really is. We have just over a quarter acre!

It's super nice in South Carolina!

After the heat of summer, fall is to be savored!

This time of year has the BEST blue skies!

The afternoon light is golden. Of course, it gets dark really early now and twilight is very, very brief.

Thank you...so can I!

Autumn used to be my favorite season when I lived in Maine (born and raised there) but alas I live in Florida (the past 45 years) and have 2 seasons now. Oh well! I love your photos! You have a great eye! And thank you for your support on For Whom It May Concern: I know I get a little carried away at times, but I think true passion gets the job done! :)
