Spotted at the vet's office yesterday.
Poor George suddenly developed a painful ear infection a couple of days ago, which is what we were there for. This seasonal display in the lobby made me smile.
Also yesterday, I finally bought Halloween treats for this year. I dare not buy them too far ahead of time. Years ago, I bought chocolate and candy early in October, ate the whole lot, gained 4 pounds, and still had to buy more to replace what I'd eaten! I won't be making that mistake again.
I only bought one kind of chocolate this year, given how expensive it seems to be at the moment. I chose Reese's cups, which usually go over well (and I love them!) along with an assortment of Halloween themed lollipops and small snack sized bags of mini–Cheese Balls. And when they say "mini", they aren't joking!
Happy Halloween Eve!
I love Halloween Candy, and I live in a bad area because of it because Hershey, PA is only 12 miles away. On the East Shore, on a good windy day, you can smell the chocolate.
ReplyDeleteMmm! The smell of chocolate sounds wonderful. The only smell that wafts through our city is the paper mill when the wind is right. Yuck!
DeleteI try to buy stuff I don't like but this year I didn't. However, I've been good. If I have leftovers, that might be dangerous.
ReplyDeleteIf I have leftovers, I'll take them to work tomorrow and give them away. Otherwise I'd make short work of the Reese's!
DeleteWhich animal do they take the cheese balls from? Goats?
ReplyDeleteGnats, based on the size of them.
DeleteWe don't get any trick or treaters as we live on a busy road with no sidewalks. When I lived in other places, we'd get lots of them, and I made sure I wouldn't buy the candy too far in advance as I'd start sneaking pieces. I have a horrible sweet tooth!
ReplyDeleteI bought myself some Reese's cups the other day. You know- the regular package with two in it. I ate them and they were so good that they'll last me for another year, most likely.
ReplyDeleteExcellent vet decoration.
I love Reese's cups, too, and got some on Monday when an American friend of mine (a retired US army officer) took me along to a PX in Stuttgart, where non-US citizens and non-military personell and their families can only go if they have a sponsor.
ReplyDeleteThe shops on the base there were full of Halloween stuff, but I only got the Reese's, and entirely for myself :-)
Funny display at the vet's. I hope poor George's ears get better soon and that he is not in too much pain.
Poor George! I hope his ear is OK! Apparently ear infections are going around?!
ReplyDeleteI love the skeleton dog in the cone. So funny.
