Happy Halloween!!
We had several neighborhood kids show up trick or treating tonight, which was really nice to see. Every child that came to our door got a double handful of treats!
Marla brought Carsen over as usual, along with Carsen's little friend Ella. They were both really cute.
The young couple who live across the street brought their baby girl out dressed in a monkey costume! Little Georgia just turned a year old. They're a sweet little family.
Dressed as a monkey, or as her mama said, "Curious Georgia"!
It's so cute seeing the little kiddies all dressed up. We don't get to many so like you they get double hand fulls. Generally, two bags does it of candy. The older kids in sweats that make no effort get a rock, lmao!!!!!
ReplyDeleteA rock? Wow, that's harsh! LOL!
DeleteLMAO! A reference to It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown...where he says on tricks or treats night, "All I got was a rock."
DeleteGeorgia is as old as our Margot who is one tomorrow (Nov 2nd)... but oh dear, what's that coming out of Georgia's bottom?
ReplyDeleteHee hee. It's her little monkey tail, of course.
DeleteOh!
DeleteOh my gosh. Curious Georgia! I love it!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know! It's adorable!
DeleteCurious Georgia -- so clever, LOL! There's nothing cuter than trick-or-treaters, is there. Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteWe also had boys dressed as the devil and two...superheroes?...video game characters?...not sure! I'm not up on the newest little boy movie and game characters. But they were cute. :)
DeleteVery quiet here; no knocks on our door. We have Nov 5th coming up (Bonfire Night), so our fun will be had then!
ReplyDeleteBonfire night sounds like a lot of fun!
DeleteWe're going to all be on the edge of our seats over here across the pond on the night of Nov 5th, though.
Good luck to you!
DeleteBecause the front door of my house of four flats is not visible from the street, and also because it's not as big here as in your part of the world, we usually don't get anyone on Halloween. But amazingly, last night the doorbell rang, and when I looked out, I saw maybe four or five small girls with an adult woman, all dressed as witches. They had not waited long enough for me to open the window, but already moved on to the door of the adjacent house, which can be accessed directly from the street. I didn't make myself noticed, since I would not have had anything for them anyway, but I hope they enjoyed the evening - their high-pitched voices sounded excited enough :-)
ReplyDeleteCarsen is growing so fast!!! I wonder whether Little P. (who of course is not so little anymore) still dresses up for Halloween or finds this too childish now.
Little P. will be 12 in March, and he's big for his age. He's also mature for his age and just started a challenging academic program that will carry him through high school....so I didn't hear from him and his mom this year. I'm sure he's outgrown trick or treating now, which makes me sad. But I'm proud of how well he's turning out as he grows up!
DeleteAdorable! And Curious Georgia, very clever!
ReplyDeleteIt really is clever! Hard to believe she's a year already. And she's a smiling, happy baby.
DeleteThat was great seeing those kids in costumes. It put a smile on my face and brought me back to when my kids were little and we went trick or treating.
ReplyDeleteI avoid Trick or Treaters the same way I avoid the plague.
ReplyDeleteSweet little children. Nice that you live in a neighborhood with kids to come by and be thrilled with your offerings.
ReplyDeleteI took 2 of my grandsons trick-or-treating and they had great fun getting their buckets filled to overflowing! We had lots of kids and little candy left!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed your cute visitors!
Little ones and Halloween. Good for the soul.
ReplyDeleteWe had no trick-or-treaters, but that's typical. We haven't had any for years.
