You did well to catch him in the act. He does not look like he feels guilty, ha ha. What book did you discuss? Did you read the book about the wild parrots of Telegraph Hill? I read that years ago.
We read H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald. I'm the one who recommended it, and I'm sad to say that everyone but me hated it! I thought it was fascinating, but no one else in the group had the slightest interest in birds. Oh well. As for the wild parrots of Telegraph Hill, I saw a documentary about that. I loved it.
Do you realize the apple of temptations are really cupcakes? Do you also realize "leftover cupcakes" is an oxymoron? By the way, I am also partial to the lemon ones.
Cupcakes really are a terrible temptation, aren't they? I had to make some to leave at home for us (in addition to the two dozen I took to the meeting) or else my husband would have been upset with me! He likes the lemon ones best, too. I prefer the chocolate.

Forgot to add.....
DeleteHe is a beautiful bird. His green color looks like velvet.
Thank you! Eclectus parrots have unique feathers that are almost like velvety fur. I think they're very pretty! Especially my Marcoman.
DeleteIf a bird could look guilty.....he can
ReplyDeleteHe never feels guilty. He just hates getting caught because I stop him!
DeleteThere are three cupcakes after all, so it's fair to share! Greetings Maria x
ReplyDeleteThat's true! :)
DeleteI would have gone for the Lemon one too. My wife occasionally makes Lemon Butterfly Cakes, which are very similar.
ReplyDeleteEveryone seems to favor the lemon. If we all ever get a chance to meet, I shall make my mother-in-law's famous lemon glazed pound cake.
DeleteHe seems to be saying "oh come on mom just a couple of bites"
ReplyDeleteMarco can have all the lemon ones he wants, as long as I get to have the chocolate ones!
ReplyDeleteIn that picture Marco looks like a cleverly iced cupcake himself. It is as if he has lost his body.
