The Walking Wounded

My husband and I look like we've been in a car accident or something. He has a huge bandage on his forehead (they took a much bigger, deeper layer of skin off than we expected) and I have a forearm covered in a giant purple and yellowish bruise from my bike accident.

We're a nice looking pair today. Ahem.

Speaking of my accident, I told my friend Marian that I hoped none of the neighbors were looking out of their windows when I fell. And she said, "Check YouTube."  Ha!

How's your week going?

  1. My week's going fine in spite of my knee, my chest infection and my mental breakdown. (I was joking about the last one...I hope). Liked that poster. Sometimes it's better for your health to just sit in an armchair.

  4. Yikes. Hope you heal up fast and are accident-free for a long time. Our week was going pretty good until we had a bike accident today as well. My daughter got ran over by our yellow lab while she was on her bike and has a nice bump on her forehead and elbow.

  5. As Frances says above, you should now be clear of disasters for years to come.

  6. As long as nobody spreads rumours about "that weird couple living at Sparrow Tree House beating up each other"...!!!
    (Not funny, I know.)
My week has been super-busy with working at 3 different venues on 4 days, flying to Berlin and back on Tuesday and Wednesday, and leaving for O.K.'s tomorrow morning, not coming back until May 14th (we're going on holiday together for a week on Monday, yay!!!).
Yes, busy-busy, but fine apart from my left eye which will never be "good" again.

  8. Well, I suppose you can be grateful that the "face-splat" picture is not of you! I closed my finger in the window the other day. It's ugly. Jerry looked at me in shock and said, "Why'd you do THAT?"

  9. My partner Jenny always maintains exercise is bad for you, and the less you do the better. If I can get her to go for a short walk with me, I'm doing well.

  10. I hope you and your hubby are healing quickly; you must look a sight if you go out together. I had a great Wednesday, then a lousy Thursday (took an Advil for hip pain and got a stomach ache and nausea, maybe caused by Advil, and being sick like that made me depressed). But Sat. and Sunday were wonderful.
