One photo from yesterday.

I took this photo as the eclipse was about to reach totality yesterday. The cloud in front of the sun helped me to safely look up and get a picture. It was quite dark outside, as you can tell by looking at the tree branches framing the picture. I'm glad I got to see it!

  1. A non-event here, but I do remember seeing a total eclipse as a child.

  2. That's a great photo. I remember seeing one many years ago (it was midday on a hot sunny day)and was surprised how cold everything suddenly was.

  3. We had an eclipse about 20 years ago when I was still working in a different place. We all went outside to watch, it was eerie with the birds all going completely quiet for a few minutes, and nothing stirring.

  7. Great picture! You're so lucky that you actually saw an eclipse. Here in NJ, everyone got all excited and then when it came through it didn't get very dark (I'd say it looked like 6pm at 2:45pm) and then everyone got mad because it wasn't worth the hype.

Tbh, part of me is glad that the path of totality didn't run through New York. They have enough entertainment, let Oregon and Tennessee and South Carolina have this one :)
