Despite a couple of chilly nights, March has begun with some gorgeous spring weather. I won't be surprised if we get one last freeze before the month is out, though.
I'm not the only one who loves warm, sunny days...

Here are some more early March photos from our backyard.

The best part about this time of year is how quickly we're gaining daylight. The days are notably longer now. This final photo was taken at 6pm today.
After an unusually cold January, we had record-breaking highs during February. I had to turn on the air conditioning. We're back to cooler weather now with lots of sunshine.ReplyDelete
Same exact thing here!Delete
Isn't it beautiful? I would be so happy if the temperatures were like this all year round. Lovely sun warm in the daytime, cool enough to snuggle under covers at night. Perfection.ReplyDelete
You're right...utter perfection! I love this time of year!Delete
Yes, more daylight here, too. But warmer weather is off stage, yet.ReplyDelete
Well, you're well north of here!Delete
Lovely photos ! The gud dugwood blooms are lovely.ReplyDelete
Wonderful photo of gud dug George.
George is such a loveable goof! He's a big baby.Delete
Regardless of dates, spring has well and truly sprung in your part of the world. Lovely photos.ReplyDelete
I guess it's very early fall for you! Thank you for the nice comment.Delete
Envy is what I'm feeling. We still have more than a foot of snow on the ground here in northern Wisconsin. Only two seasons for us here..... Winter. And 3-months-of-bad-sledding.ReplyDelete
That much winter must get really old! But check back here around the first of July. I'll be complaining bitterly about the awful heat! :)Delete
It's been nice here too, with temps up to 15 C. We have just ONE daffodil flowering, the others are all just leaves. We'll have to have words with them.ReplyDelete
Tell them to WAKE UP!Delete
It will take a while before blossoms will appear on our trees, and the daffodils and tulips are still weeks away, too, but we are getting there, that's for sure!ReplyDelete
I love it that there is still daylight by the time I leave the office. It makes me less prone to just go home and do NOTHING.
Same here, Meike. I've been much more active and productive in the afternoons now that the days are longer.Delete
So beautiful. Our March has come in like a lion... but our lion is much less fierce than yours anyway.ReplyDelete
Everything is beautiful year-round where you live!Delete
George appears to be smiling. I think he should hook up with smiley Olga in West London. They could make beautiful springtime music together.ReplyDelete
Olga would love George, I think! Alas, though, there would be no smiley puppies, as Olga has been fixed.Delete
George would love Olga too but in a purely platonic way....he got snipped early. Oh, the smiley puppies they could have had, though...! Sigh.Delete
A glimpse of Spring, thank you!ReplyDelete
I wish I could ship you a bottle full to enjoy!Delete
So nice to see the redbud and the dogwood!ReplyDelete
A true Florida boy!Delete
Such a lovely happy faceReplyDelete
