Talking to a bird (and a special day)

I was going to write about my wedding anniversary today, but we're putting off our celebration until we go to the mountains for our niece's wedding later this month. Gregg has to work today, and Wednesdays are his long days so he won't be home until at least 7pm tonight. We'd have been celebrating late in any event. But I do feel so very fortunate to be so happily married, 13 years today, to a good man, and usual I want to wish him a very happy anniversary here on the blog! :)

Instead of writing about all that, though, I thought I'd share a video I uploaded to YouTube this morning. Marco was in the mood to talk and I actually got him on film saying some of his catch phrases to me. Several of you have expressed interest in hearing him speak, so turn up the volume and listen carefully to this:

Have a good day, everyone!

Happy Anniversary to you and Greg.

I really enjoyed hearing both your voice and Marco’s.

I love Marco! It's similar to listening to a small child. Happy 13th Anniversary.

Love,
Janie

I agree with YP, you do have a beautiful voice, Jennifer!
Just have had a quick look at the other videos you have uploaded under the same account on YouTube. A fun way to share bits of your life with the rest of us.

That was lovely......and you do have a nice voice, as does Marco. He sounds like a little child, as Janie said! Happy Anniversary to you both. Ours in 45 yrs in October !

Marco is just a little parrot man, isn't he?
Happy anniversary, Jennifer!

What a nice thing to say! Thank you!

Thanks to Marco, I've become very aware of my southern accent...and my weirdo laugh.

You have to be careful....if her swears, it's in your voice! There's no denying it! Haha.

He can be a little charmer.

Yes, normally all of my pets, including Marco, clam up and look away when I try to film them or take pictures. It's so frustrating! It's a rare day when Marco starts talking and won't stop for the camera, which is why I seized the opportunity to film him.

Thanks! I appreciate it.

He sounds sweet there, but let me assure you he can be an absolute HELLION and make your eardrums want to spontaneously combust when we lets loose a devil screech!

Jennifer said...

I hope so! Thanks for the good wishes!

Thank you Meike! Most of the YouTube videos are of fish tanks, but there are a couple of dog videos sprinkled in.

Congratulations on (almost) 45 years! That is awesome!

Thanks Yael, Marco is a little devil sometimes but we love him. :)

He IS a little parrot man! This video doesn't even BEGIN to capture his sass and attitude, or even half of the things he can say. Life with him is an adventure!

Everyone seemed to enjoy it, I'll have to try to film him some more. Thanks for stopping by!

OK, I was at work when I read this post yesterday so I couldn't watch the video. Now I finally have. Marco is so cute! I love how he says "I love you."

My daughter was the same way as a toddler. She wasn't a hellion, but she had such a high-pitched scream that I thought I would go deaf.
