I got my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine this afternoon. I barely felt the needle, my arm is only very slightly sore, and so far there haven't been any other side effects. Oh, and we got these cute purple wrist bands!
Shot number two is set for March 12. I'm very, very grateful for the friend who made this happen.
Good on you. Hopefully you get through with no side effects. My dad just finished his second shot and is doing great!
ReplyDeleteJust woke up (1:30am) from a particularly horrible nightmare and my arm is very sore. I'm reading the blog to calm down a bit before going back to sleep. Vivid nightmares are highly unusual for me, so it must be the jab.
DeleteStill totally worth it, of course.
Stay tuned, I'll report on any further side effects.
Well done. Let's hope this is one more step towards beating this wretched virus!
ReplyDeleteYes, every vaccinated person is that much closer to herd immunity!
DeleteYAYZ! and love the wristband! still waiting for shots up here...
ReplyDeleteI love the wristband too! I plan to save them along with our CDC shot record cards as souvenirs of this whole crazy year(s).
DeleteI'm so happy you have both been able to get your shots! How cool to get the wristband too!
ReplyDeleteStep 1 of a huge relief!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I never got a purple wrist band!
ReplyDeleteHad mine yesterday evening. Slept fine but just feeling a bit 'off' today. I only got a sticker!
ReplyDeleteIt's great that such a young woman like you managed to get her first jab so early in the vaccination process. Why - you are not much older than our little Phoebe! Even better that Uncle Gregg got his first shot!
ReplyDeleteWrist bands are nice. All I got was a sticker. And the Pfizer vaccine is supposed to be very effective.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you! It seems like every time I read another blog post, someone else is getting their vaccination. Unfortunately I think it will be months upon months before I can say the same. -Jenn (cute wrist band, too)
ReplyDeleteTerrific news!
ReplyDeleteDave said the same thing -- the needle is small and he barely felt it. Glad you've had #1!
ReplyDeleteThanks for reporting back! I'll be ready whenever it is my turn!
ReplyDeleteVery good, on to number two.
ReplyDeleteLove your bracelet. All I got was a day in bed.
