Rescued goldfish

Here's a video I shot this morning of the goldfish we brought home from school a few weeks ago. As you can see, they're enjoying their vacation on the porch!

  1. Too bad they can't stay there year-round. So beautiful.

  3. Shouldn't there be some netting over them because of neighbourhood cats and predatory birds?

    1. The vat they're in is on our screened in porch.

  5. They are a lively bunch! When my parents still had their allotment, the goldfish in their pond were often just "standing" still, either in the sun or when it got too warm, hiding underneath the plants. Food was always a way to bring them out, though.

  6. They look very happy ! My 4 goldfish are lively at the moment as they have just been fed. (I have a 3ft aquarium in my kitchen)

  7. I bet the children at the school will miss seeing them. My grandson is going to a new preschool this year and after his first visit, he said, "Grandma, they have fishies!" Now he can't wait to go back!
I am always amazed how your different animals all get along and don't bother each other!

  11. You have your very own Japanese koi pond! I love the sounds of the insects in the background.

  13. What a wonderful 'water feature'. I'd be leaving them right where they are. (For the goldfishes' sake, of course.
