Surprise!

We're having a surprise for supper tonight! 😁

I pulled this frozen entrée out of the freezer (because there's nothing else to eat in the house at the moment) and I have no idea what it is.

It might be chili! It might be spaghetti sauce! Hell, it might even be beef stew!   Only time (and the defrost function on my microwave) will tell.

This passes for excitement in my house these days. 😩😅

  5. Defrost function on your microwave? I would have thought it is warm enough in SC right now to simply leave the container out of the fridge until you get home, or even just after you come home until it is time to eat.
Anyway, I am sure it will be delicious, whatever it is :-)

    1. We had a thunderstorm that left us without power until almost 7pm, and then I was scrambling around trying to find something to eat. So it was still in the freezer frozen solid--no time to thaw on the counter.

  6. So after getting it mostly thawed, I was convinced it was chili. I heated it all the way up, grated cheddar cheese on top, and served it with tortilla chips. Unfortunately, it then turned out to be spaghetti sauce! It tasted weird with the chedddar and chips. Definitely not my proudest culinary moment!

  9. Oh the pain. I promise myself not to put anything in the freezer without proper identification as to when/what.

  10. Ha! I read the outcome in the comments above. At least it wasn't dog food!
