From insecure and badly behaved shelter castaway to goofy and sweet member of the family, George's transformation over the past two years has been dramatic.

Always happy.

    1. For a while I despaired of ever teaching him any manners and curbing his destructive tendencies. But our patience has been rewarded!

  6. That is one hell of a nose! Was George named after George W. Bush? Similar intelligence quotients I should think but Dubya wasn't so good at fetching sticks back.

  7. No! My George wasn't named after that fool. Perish the thought!

Have you seen the old Cary Grant movie "Bringing Up Baby"? George was named after the little dog in that film.

  11. It must be very satisfying to rescue an animal that has been badly treated and give them a decent life with some tender loving care. I just don't understand how people can be so callous towards such vulnerable, fragile creatures.
