Birthday Boy

It's my dear husband's birthday today, and I wanted to take a moment to mention it here on the blog. I'm not sure how I got so lucky in the love department. He's a good man and a great husband and my best friend, too.  Tonight after work there will be cake (pineapple upside down) and presents and a nice dinner.

A typical photo...the "Fish guy" setting up a new aquarium!

    1. The cake was...okay. Not great. We only have one bakery around here, and it's average at best. I just didn't have time to do any baking. I plan to rectify that over the Christmas holidays! Thanks for the well wishes, Mitchell.

    1. Thank you Steve! Pineapple USD cake is one of Gregg's favorites. He's actually more of a pie guy than a cake guy. :)

  7. In all the time I have been visiting your blog, I have never seen a clear picture of Gregg. I guess you are obliged to conceal his identity as he is a superhero... The Fish Man! Happy Birthday Gregg!

  9. Belated happy birthday greetings from across the ocean to Gregg! I am sure you all enjoyed the cake and dinner.
It is wonderful to know there are still couples out there that "work" - as a couple, I mean. Having one divorced and one dead husband and an ex-long term boyfriend in my "romantic" history, I am very happy to have found O.K. at last - just wish we'd have met earlier, so as to avoid the other relationships that ended less happily.

    1. Thank you Meike. At first, we seemed like a very unlikely couple. For one thing, Gregg is 17 years older than me. But somehow it was meant to be. We've been together for almost 20 years now. (As I type that it seems incredible...where has the time gone?!) We're very happy. We enjoy being together. And then there's the fact that I almost lost him 6 years ago....it makes our time together now so much more precious.

I'm hoping to hear of your engagement to O.K. one of these days!
