Peekaboo

A visitor appeared at the bathroom window this morning while I was getting ready for work.

This tiny little squirrel was probably one of this fall's babies. It showed no fear whatsoever as I snapped a few pictures. We gently shooed it away and closed the window. The last thing that needs to happen is for George to notice a young squirrel hanging around!

Given the chance, he'd have come into your house.

My little Bouvier comes up the bricks to my window sill if Im not out on time for the peanut handout.

But this one must be a peeping tom.

Good thing he didn't get inside!

My dog Oscar would go ballistic - squirrels are his nemesis. Cute though.

There are Squirrels in the park where I take Billy in the mornings; he totally ignores them!

How did you know it was a young one? Was it smaller than adult ones?
I have read in the magazine of a nature and animal protection organisation that squirrels will indeed approach a human when they are in need of help. In your case, I hope the little lad is fine and was not looking to make contact out of necessity.

There are three young squirrels and a mama squirrel that we've been seeing in the back yard. We're pretty sure this was one of them, and yes, it was a little smaller than a full grown adult. We've been feeding the mama and her babies walnuts sometimes (not at the bathroom window, though!) so I think it was just curious and felt comfortable peeking in on us. :)

Some dogs are crazier over squirrels than others! George mostly ignores squirrels, but if one came in the house......chaos would ensue!!!

Or Peeping Tina! Who knows? :)

I couldn't believe it just stood there looking at me while I did it!

George would have gone ballistic if he had seen it!

It was a nice surprise to see him there peeping in!

You said it!

Squeaky toy for George! Ha! Ha!

More likely the walnuts we occasionally put out back for the squirrels!

Exactly!

There's no screen on that window, so we had to shoo him away and close it! Can you imagine if he had gotten in the house, and then George saw him....whew!

Adorable. And not to be encouraged. Good thing George wasn’t around.

Curious little guy! Nice being so quick and accurate with the camera. We have squirrels, they are fast movers.
