Little P. got his wish! Last night we got between 2 and 3 inches of snow. Here are some photos from early this morning, before everything started to melt. Probably half of the snow is still hanging on, and it's going to be 17 degrees tonight, so we'll still have a little bit left through tomorrow afternoon. At 8am this morning, though, everything was still pristine.
This first one was taken from my front door around midnight last night, shortly after the ice started transitioning to snow. (The bright orb is a streetlight).
Of course, we went out for a walk with George first thing. We devised a new sweater for him to keep him warm.
This is how Gregg's truck looked when we first went outside. There's only room in the garage for one car, so the old work truck has to stay out in the elements.
Marco surveyed the scene from the warmth of the house. I'm not sure what he thought of it all. He's seen snow before, but it's been a while.
Snow day 2022!
That's a beautiful snow! I'm so glad Little P. got his wish. I bet he had fun playing in it. I remember snow days when I lived in the South, they are pretty special!ReplyDelete
Lovely, especially the shadows made by the crepe myrtles, and the blue sky, and George's nose!ReplyDelete
Marco looked like Tuxedo, our cat; he liked looking at the snow but wasn't keen on going out in it!
What lovely, sweet photos! I bet that Little P is beyond joy. His magical spells worked!ReplyDelete
Great pictures! Love George's sweater! Snow is great!ReplyDelete
Great Pictures Jennifer! Thanks for sharing them.ReplyDelete
I bet Marco said if that's Hell, I don't want any of it.ReplyDelete
YAY!!!!!!! I know many people hate winter and snow, but I love it. The air and sky is never more fresh and pristine then after a good snow...it's "feels" so clean. And it does just that. Snow does filter the air. And it's amazing when you snap pictures at night. The pictures look as if taken in the day right? You got some excellent pictures. I love the one with the trees casting the shadows into the yard....and of course of the cutie George. Im glad the Snow Queen visited.ReplyDelete
Enjoy the snow!ReplyDelete
Someone had better send Little P to Japan quickly. I hear they have no snow for The Winter Olympics.ReplyDelete
I meant to China... what was I thinking!Delete
Oh how gorgeous!ReplyDelete
Spot on Little P. Everything looks so pretty.ReplyDelete
So beautiful. Great photos of the guys and the views.ReplyDelete
Yes!!! All of Little P‘s measures worked 😊ReplyDelete
Snow really suits your house, it looks beautiful and cosy.
Here, it‘s just grey, wet and (on the fields) muddy.
Maybe Little P should move to where Joanne lives - they have 17 inches of it there!ReplyDelete
Your home looks so pretty in the snow! Glad Little P got his wish and you enjoyed your bit of snow. Thanks for the photos!ReplyDelete
I love the second photo, with those long tree shadows. I'm sure Little P was thrilled! And good job on George's makeshift sweater. :)ReplyDelete
I love a good snow day as well. Even though I long for spring most days of the winter, I'm always entranced with a big snowfall. We currently have 55 cm of snow piled up on our yard.ReplyDelete
Love the trees reflecting in the snow! The blue sky is also beautiful. We've had lots of fog lately--dispiriting and gloomy!ReplyDelete
Your photos are great. Doesn't George look grand in his sweater? I'm glad Little P's wish came true.ReplyDelete
lovely snow! Lovely pooch !ReplyDelete
Thanks for sharing the snow pictures!ReplyDelete
snow is lovely ....for about 6 hoursReplyDelete
