February Flowers

The camellias are blooming. This pale pink beauty had fallen to the ground after all the rain this morning.

So beautiful and what a lovely color to push the gray skies away.

I've never had any luck with Camellias. I particularly like the very deep red ones, but they die on me. Elsewhere they grow like weeds, but not on my patch.

It really is a beauty, Jennifer!
Here, the ground in some gardens and woods is covered with aconite, which looks very pretty, and there are a lot of crocus about. Strangely enough, I've not seen any snowdrops this season.

The geometry of that camellia is so precise.
