Turns out I just have pulled muscles in my lower back. Had a cortisone shot in my hip, instructed to continue with the muscle relaxers at bedtime and Motrin through the day. The shot hurt like hell. Came home, still hurting, and discovered that our a/c has died again.
Lovely.
Well, good on the pulled muscle but everything else just sucks. Especially the AC. Darn, darlin'. That's really horrible.
ReplyDeleteAt least it's cooling down to 68 degrees tonight. With the windows open it's not too bad. High 82 tomorrow so it could be much worse. And I already have a service request in with our home warranty company.
DeleteBut damn. I've had about enough. 😰
I can't imagine the pain you're having, I'm sorry to hear that you're in such pain, and hope that all turns out well for you!
ReplyDeleteI discovered your blog through Anne's blog, and would like to invite you to follow me on GFC if you'd like. If you click on my name above this comment of mine, you'll be taken to my blog.
I hope you'll have a peaceful night.
I love Anne Marie! I'm glad to meet you!
DeleteDAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! for the pain and the air conditioner!
ReplyDeleterest well tonight and perhaps things will be better in the morning.
It could be so much worse. It's already nice and cool and breezy outside and the air coming in the windows feels great! I'll survive. Hopefully. :)
DeletePoor you. I hope the pills do the job. These things always take time; but heal they will. Hot here!
ReplyDeleteNothing is worse than back spasms! It's so debilitating. Hopefully that cortisone shot will do the trick.
DeleteBack pain is a bitch, keep moving if you can. House repairs are also a bitch so it's good there's at least a breeze
ReplyDeleteOh Christ! Not the air con as well! At least the summer temperatures are now reduced. I hope that you have got the right kind of bed as a lot of back problems are caused by inappropriate beds.
ReplyDeleteBad that you have that terrible pain but good that it is a muscle and not a disc that might have needed surgery.
ReplyDeleteI hope your A/C company gets to you pronto. Cooler days are coming soon.
Oh crap!
ReplyDeleteAaaaargh!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of muscle relaxers? When my PCP retired they assigned me a new doctor & she prescribed generic Valium - not a very bright decision. My specialist prescribes a super-duper Aleve for me since your main goal is to alleviate the stress of the inflammation.
ReplyDeleteCan't win for losing, as they say. Sorry the cortisone was painful; I hope it kicks in soon. And so glad you have cool evening air blowing in. Perhaps tomorrow will not be so hot!
