In the middle of dinner Little P. said to us, "You two sound just like the girls at my school. Talk, talk, talk....about other people!" I replied, "Are you saying that your mom and I are gossiping?" and he said, "YUP!"
Haha!
I love that little boy to bits. He always makes me laugh!
So pleased you have kept these two in your life.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteI am SO happy to see Little P. again. He still has that beautiful smile. And so do you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ms. Moon!
DeleteSounds like a great time!
ReplyDeleteIt was! When I got there, Little P. said, "I've been looking forward to this for two days!"
DeleteWow! He is looking very grown up!
ReplyDeleteHe sure is. His face is losing some of the baby roundness and he's getting very tall.
DeleteHe's funny and has a great smile; he'll go far!
ReplyDeleteHe's a smart kid, too. His mom told him the total of their bill and asked him to calculate a 15% tip. He did it in his head, lickety-split. And he's only nine years old!
DeletePosts with or about Little P are always a highlight!
ReplyDeleteGood to know you are keeping in touch and had the chance to meet up. Lovely picture of the two of you!
Thank you Meike! He's growing up fast; he's already as tall as my chin and he's not even 10 years old yet. He's going to be a tall man.
DeleteI love that you have stayed friends. Great photos. So, who'd you talk about and what did I miss?
ReplyDeleteHa! We mostly talked about coworkers. She's now the guidance counselor at the alternative school in our district, so I heard all about that and I filled her in on the people she worked with last year at my school. We're now thoroughly caught up on gossip! (Which little man had to suffer through!)
DeleteLovely pics...he isn't so little now!
ReplyDeleteThat's true! He's gotten so tall and he's looking older in the face, all of a sudden. Why do kids have to grow up so fast?!
DeleteI think you two have a great connection. I had a teacher in 6th grade, Mrs.Harmon I got close too. She even used to visit the house for lunch and all. She was the one who helped break my shyness. And even stayed in touch for years till she sadly passed on. But I still think of her all these years later, much like Little P will to I suspect.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's so sweet Maddie! I hope he remembers me fondly years from now.
DeleteFunny! He's really growing, isn't he?!
ReplyDeleteHe really is. I'm amazed at how fast kids his age change.
DeleteIt is so fun to connect with old friends. How happy you both look!
ReplyDeleteWe were all happy to see each other! Little P.'s mom is a good friend to me.
Deletewhat a great smile that kid has..love it.
ReplyDeleteHe has a great sense of humor and a great smile!
DeleteSweetie
ReplyDeleteMe or him? Haha! :)
DeleteHe looks like a really neat kid.
ReplyDeleteHe is. His mother is doing a great job. When the waitress brought the check he pulled a $20 bill from his pocket and tried to pay. My heart! :) His mother had him put his money back in his pocket but I thought it was a sweet gesture.
Deletegood for him !
ReplyDeleteHe's a sharp kid and notices everything. And he has the beginnings of a great sense of humor!
DeleteIf you ever take your favourite lad to England tell him not to make that sign with his fingers here. It will be misunderstood.
ReplyDeleteUh oh! What does it mean in England?!! I'll keep that in mind if we ever take a trip together. What fun that would be!
DeleteWell, it has come to mean 'f*** you', but it was - I am told - originally aimed at the French during the 100 years war. They would capture English archers and cut off the two fingers so they could never use a bow again. The un-captured ones would raise their two fingers before battle to show they could still shoot.
