Now that's the fall spirit!!!!! I love pumpkin pie, but all these crazy people with all their pumpkin crap this and that is enough to drive me back into summer!!! I think a studio should make a horror movie called Pumpkin Lovers. A movie where a huge group of preppy people and millennials who overindulge in all pumpkin products, get knocked off one by one, met with a death of pumpkin products in one way or another. It would be the revenge of Pumpkinhead!!!!
Pumpkin "flavoring" is gross but actual pumpkin is delicious. And it is good for dogs' digestion. I've used spoonfuls of canned pumpkin in my dogs food before.
I do not get into the whole fall/pumpkin/Halloween thing. But I know people who definitely do! People for whom Halloween is the best holiday of all! And there's nothing wrong with "pumpkin spice." It's just cinnamon and nutmeg, mostly. And sugar. But make a spice cake and be done with it! I haven't worn a Halloween costume since around 1978 and do not plan to at any time in the future. As for scary movies- big nope for me no matter the season. I'm such a Debbie Downer.
No. 2 could be me, and no. 4 made me laugh out loud. I actually love pumpkin soup or roast pumpkin with feta. It is a very versatile food that goes well as hot and spicy, savoury or sweet. Pumpkin secco is a hoax, though - it looks and tastes like apricot (still nice, though).
I love these. So true. Especially about the spooky movie! Things we regret!
ReplyDeletePumpkin Spice drinks should be outlawed!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on that! Yuck!

ReplyDeleteI love that idea! I hate all that Pumpkin Spice Crap and the people who make a fetish of it! Apple cider is clearly the superior fall flavor!
DeleteI've never eaten pumpkin or had pumpkin-flavoured 'stuff' - it's gradually appearing in UK. I know it's supposed to be good for dogs' digestions!

DeleteHhhm, I might bake a pie.
ReplyDeleteMmmm....pie...!

The "spice" part of the flavor is fine, it's the artificial pumpkin flavoring that I object to! Real pumpkin I'd good, too.

Number 4 made me laugh too!
DeleteI can't watch scary movies at all - never could! I do love pumpkin pie, though! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a pretty big weenie when it comes to scary movies, too.
DeleteI do hate cider and any drink with pumpkin in it.
ReplyDeleteI love apple cider! Pumpkin drinks don't do much for me but I love pumpkin baked into desserts.
DeleteHa! It's about time for me to start adding cinnamon to my coffee, but as I remember you take exception to that!
