White People Burritos

I stumbled across this funny anecdote on Threads the other day and wanted to share it with you for two reasons: first, because "White People Burritos" are still a favorite easy meal of mine, and two, because it's a story that takes place in Stuttgart, Germany. Hi Meike! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Enjoy!

I suspect that the German host family were just being polite about Radthaneal's White People burritos. But it makes a good story. I wonder how Brown People burritos might be different?

Funny little story ๐Ÿ˜„
I have not seen Riesen in a long time, not sure they still exist.
I wonder whether the German host family still remember that meal as fondly as radthanael does.

When I lived in San Antonio, I discovered the difference between Tex Mex and real Mexican food. It was so wonderful that I make white people tacos from time to time just to remind myself.

I learned to make tacos adding a package of taco seasoning to ground beef when I was in college and it is still one of the most popular family meals that we eat.

I love Mexican food but most of it's probably not close to authentic.

I haven't thought of Riesen candy in years. I see it's still available to order online.

Tex Mex, real Mex, I love it all!

Yep! Those little spice pouches to add to hamburger were what everyone used.
