Probably not. It's the north side of the house and there's not enough sun to really encourage blooming. This one probably bloomed because a tree in front of that part of the walk split and had to be removed last summer, letting in more light. Plus, we just rent. We probably won't be here much longer.
That is so pretty! Is it some sort of flag or iris?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty, I love flower surprises. It looks like a bearded iris to me.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, looks like iris.

Beautiful bearded Iris, and they smell heavenly.
ReplyDeleteOur Irises are up too, but they are either plain white, blue, or a strange mix of purple and yellow. I'd love to have some like yours; much nicer.
ReplyDeleteOh, beautiful iris. Lucky you!

Breathtaking! Will the walk be lined with those eventually?

DeleteWow! That's quite a surprise, and it matches your blog!
ReplyDeleteI like surprises like this Jennifer. Especially when things have not been so good. A flower appearing overnight means a lot.
