Our pumpkins will remain on the plants for a while yet, but I'm looking forward to eating them. Did I see 'plus tax' after the price of the grapes? How does that work?
Scuppernong and Muscadine grapes are wild grapes that thrive in this part of the world. They're very distinctive tasting and they make excellent sweet wine!
It was so much fun to see pumpkins in New York markets. We don't get the size or variety here. As for fall colors, beautiful, but I'm glad we don't get that in abundance here. Everyone is still on the beach.
The colors of fall and you took some great pictures. I will be getting my pumpkins and putting in my fall garden next week. We expect it to cool down then.
I love this collection of your fall photos. One of the world's most gorgeous sights to me is a pumpkin field, which grow along the highway north of our town.
So much color in the fall.

ReplyDeleteOur local sales tax is 8% added to the total, even on food.
DeleteSo beautiful, things we don't have here.
ReplyDeleteAh, but you have olive trees and other exotic things that WE don't have! :)
DeleteMuch colour in fruit and vegetables. Scuppernong? Grapes by the look of them. Never heard of the variety.

ReplyDeleteYou live in paradise, Mitchell. I wouldn't trade the beach in Spain for some piddly fall colors!

ReplyDeleteI wanted to buy some pumpkins and mums for my front steps, but it's still too hot here--unusually warm for this time of year. Maybe by next week!
DeleteWhen I look at that multi-coloured corn, I can see where the Mexicans got their beadwork ideas from.
ReplyDeleteI never thought of that, but I see what you mean! Thanks for the comment!
DeleteFantastic autumnal colours.
ReplyDeleteI love watching the seasons change.
DeleteWhy am I suddenly hungry?
ReplyDeleteGrapes, corn, and pumpkins I suppose!
DeleteThose sweetcorn cobs are amazing.
ReplyDeleteThey're so pretty! I always want to buy some but I have zero use for them. Sigh.
DeleteGreat pictures, Jennifer! I imagine you can enjoy the changing of the seasons even better now that you like your job so much more than before.
ReplyDeleteIt's true, Meike. And I'm SO looking forward to the holidays this year!
DeleteJust look at all those pumpkins sitting there on the straw.
ReplyDeleteAlphie
