Well, there you go.

A few minutes ago our doorbell rang. Gregg got up to answer it, and it turned out to be a man handing out tracts from a megachurch here in Florence called Florence Baptist Temple. (I call them the Florence Baptist Taliban).

Among the bundle of tracts he handed us was this little gem:

And look at the verse I found in it.....

After yesterday's post...how's that for a coincidence?

  1. Weird synchronicity for sure.

  2. There are no accidents! LOL! God has such a dry sense of humor. I'm putting this right up there with my fav Mormon story:

The 7th Day Adventists & the Mormons come by my house like clockwork. I have several Buddha statues, a colorful string of Tibetan Prayer flags, and a Mary statue in the front yard. I live in a tiny Southern town with the ONLY set of Tibetan Prayer flags. One Saturday the Mormons knocked. I answered the door and one of them said, "I see you're a Catholic Buddhist!" I started laughing and so did they. I almost let them in. xo

  3. When I was a child, my Mum who was a hoot was cooking dinner and the Mormons who come by off and on, came knocking at the door and wouldn't stop.
Right then the rice boiled over and the knocking kept up it didn't stop. So finally Mum went to open the door and she hears "Jesus Saves" ! She yelled back "well he didn't save my dinner and slammed the door. They never ever came back.
I love my Mum. Her birthday was 1 June. We went to visit her grave then went out to dinner. She would have liked that.

    cheers, parsnip

  4. I can hardly believe they are giving out tracts in that old language. It's hardly accessible.
    Synchronicity is a funny thing

  5. Crikey ..... Mum doesn't believe in coincidences. She reckons everything happens for a reason. Bit like Marion above. Mum also liked her story about the Mormons.

  7. That's a bit spooky isn't it! (Paul looked this up on his computer yesterday because he didn't believe me. We use that word all the time now, the dustbin stinketh, the dog stinketh.)

  10. Stinketh! I am going to make it my mission to somehow use that word in conversation today.
