Actually, yesterday was the last day for students. Today is a "teacher's workday" and I'll be answering phones in the front office and cleaning out my desk for the summer. After today, I'm free until August!
In other good news, I'm mostly well again after that awful virus. I still have a little congestion in my chest, but overall I feel human again. About time, too.
Have a great day, everyone!
I bet that the novelty of these long summer vacations has not worn off yet. Enjoy! You have earned it and I am glad to hear you are feeling much better. Have you got plans for how to spend these leisurely weeks?
ReplyDeleteI'll be starting off the summer preparing to go to our niece's wedding. It's a 6 hour drive away, in the mountains of North Carolina, and I have to find a dress, get one of Gregg's suits dry cleaned, book a hotel room, arrange for pet care, etc. But after that, I plan to do house projects all summer! And no, the novelty has not worn off yet. I'm super excited!
DeleteI hope you have a beautiful summer, Jennifer. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I will do my best!
DeleteYAYZ for feeling better and the last day of school!
ReplyDeleteI know!!!! It's just...grand!
DeleteHURRAY!!!!
ReplyDeleteLet the summer games begin!
Amen!
DeleteYou're a week ahead of us. We still have one more week to slog through. But summer is right around the corner! Woo hoo! Glad you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Steve! One week will go by in a FLASH. Hang in there...summer IS right around the corner! :)
DeleteGreat news indeed! I have read your reply to YP's question. A wedding, and a new dress - that would be my kind of beginning of the summer vacation!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about the wedding and the new dress, but less so about the amount of money it's costing us to make it to this wedding. BUT...it's our favorite niece, and we love her and we love her mother (Gregg's sister) so we feel like we must attend. I'm sure it's going to be beautiful, though. :)
DeleteEnjoy, you deserve it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice thing to say! Thank you!
DeleteGlad you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteSo, at the end of the school year, do play Alice Cooper's "Schools Out" really loud and dance around? I probably would if I were a teacher.
I keep thinking about that song! Hahah! After so many years of working in retail (I know you understand) this is like a dream come true. Thank you Dave.
DeleteOh you are a free little bird for the summer. Fly free and enjoy that wedding.
ReplyDeleteDarling cartoon. You have a great summer.
ReplyDeleteLove Alice Cooper "School Out" @Dave R.
ReplyDeleteNow rest before you start your summer list !
