This is the little potted pomegranate my husband's friend sent to me. Beside it is the fig cutting I've been growing out. I hope to plant both outside later this spring (or maybe in the fall).

If you are not sure, it is white, fluffy, cold and slippery...snow I mean.
Same here. It was almost eighty today and is supposed to get down to thirty on Friday night but no snow is forecast. Of course.
That little pomegranate is so hopeful. So is the fig.

Awww the Pom is so cute. They lose all the leaves in winter but the leaves grow out super fast in spring.
Friends had Fig trees but I have no idea how to care for them. I just like eating them.

Still not one flake of snow in our area this season. I wonder whether it will all be upon us with a revenge as late as March or April. I hope not!
Thank you for showing us! That little pomegranate plant is so cute! It's a shame it is not good for eating but it will sure be fun to watch it grow! I remember a fig tree we had when I was a child. My Mother made the best preserves from those figs.
We had fig trees in France but I've never seen a pomegranate plant before.

This winter has been so odd with spring temperatures and one or two days with some snow flurries. I am ready for some snow, but not too much. I fear what summer will bring.
