Everything looks so happy. I like happy!
It's a happy little spot! I like happy too.
Your garden just looks amazing!
Coming from you, that's a real compliment!
I love lady beetles! You'll have some nice fresh tomato soon with Mozz and basil!!!!! Love the marigolds. Did you know they are a natural repellents for gnats and mosquitos?
I call them ladybugs, and I love them too! I found that beauty on a leaf of my fig tree. I love how the sky and my phone are reflected in her shiny exterior. I have over 5 dozen green tomatoes of 6 different varieties, not counting the cherries, currently growing and ripening. I've never had such good luck with tomatoes, and I'm thrilled that the soil here seems to be very good! Did you notice the basil plant in one of the photos? Tomatoes with basil and mozz will be WONDERFUL!I've heard marigolds repel all sorts of insects and pests so that's why I planted a living mulch of them. The red French marigolds I started from seed, and they're just now starting to bloom. :)
I did notice that basil plant. It's so wonderfully green and huge! Such yield you a nice supply.
We call them Ladybirds, like certain President's wives...
Ladybird Johnson was a fine First Lady.
You have green fingers! (Assuming that you are au fait with that expression!)
I am, but we call them green thumbs!
Your veggies look amazing, and, in case you didn't know, Ladybugs are carnivores.
I did know! I wanted to move that one over to my veggies (it was on the fig tree) but I hated to disturb it. :)
Oh WOW Ms. Green thumb! Everything looks so glorious and healthy and glad to be in your garden!
We finally had some rain after a month of drought...that made a big difference! Hose water just isn't the same.
Everything looks beautiful and healthy!
I go out there and marvel at how healthy and GREEN everything is!
WOW!!!!! I hope my garden takes off as well as yours has. That's great!
Thanks Debby! I hope so too!
Everything looks wonderful. We are way behind you here. It all looks so healthy too.
I'm frankly shocked at how lush and healthy everything seems to be so far. This is my first year planting anything at the "new" house. The soil must be pretty decent!
thanks for stopping by yellowdog granny...appreciate it..my garden got planted and then we had a week of thunderstorms and rainstorms..garden gone..sigh*
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. That's heartbreaking.
Your garden is coming along fabulously! Soon, you will have entire meals from its produce. The flowers are beautiful, too, and the ladybird is all polished and shiny.
I'm looking forward to tomato salads and BLTs soon!
Everything is so lush and colourful - nasturtiums especially so.
The nasturtiums are just starting to bloom! They're so pretty.
Things are looking great!
Everything looks happy under your care, still cool here so my tom’s are just beginning to show. Every year our neighbor “the crazy cat lady” rushes out to the nursery and spends a small fortune on those big bags of live ladybugs. She then invites her lady friends over for the big ceremonial release, and of course they take wing and disappear. CCL then spends the summer complaining because there are no ladybugs in her garden. Should I tell her they are all in my rose garden happily munching on all the big fat aphids?
i am mad-jealous about the garden goodies.
Wonderful, wonderful pictures. You're about a month and a half ahead of me, climate wise, and I am SO JEALOUS. Everything looks just fantastic!
