We're having a surprise for supper tonight! 😁
I pulled this frozen entrée out of the freezer (because there's nothing else to eat in the house at the moment) and I have no idea what it is.
It might be chili! It might be spaghetti sauce! Hell, it might even be beef stew! Only time (and the defrost function on my microwave) will tell.
This passes for excitement in my house these days. 😩😅
Works for me. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI have a great idea for you Jennifer! Label containers you put in the freezer! This works for me. Anyway, enjoy your mystery meal!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! lol
DeleteLet us know how great it was, when you were done with it.
ReplyDeleteCHILI!!!!!!!!!!!! I enjoy chili but way to hot to be eat it, at least for me in this heat.
ReplyDeleteMay you enjoy the Barlow Surprise!
We didn't enjoy it, and I'll tell you why in the comments!
DeleteSometimes surprise dinners can be the best!
ReplyDeleteOr the worst!
DeleteDefrost function on your microwave? I would have thought it is warm enough in SC right now to simply leave the container out of the fridge until you get home, or even just after you come home until it is time to eat.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I am sure it will be delicious, whatever it is :-)
We had a thunderstorm that left us without power until almost 7pm, and then I was scrambling around trying to find something to eat. So it was still in the freezer frozen solid--no time to thaw on the counter.
DeleteSo after getting it mostly thawed, I was convinced it was chili. I heated it all the way up, grated cheddar cheese on top, and served it with tortilla chips. Unfortunately, it then turned out to be spaghetti sauce! It tasted weird with the chedddar and chips. Definitely not my proudest culinary moment!
ReplyDeleteI guess this experience proves the value of putting labels on things in the freezer, lol!
ReplyDeleteDying to find out what you had for dinner?
ReplyDeleteOh dear.
ReplyDeleteOh the pain. I promise myself not to put anything in the freezer without proper identification as to when/what.
ReplyDeleteHa! I read the outcome in the comments above. At least it wasn't dog food!
