Three years!

Three years ago today, we brought this little girl home:

She was so little!

It's hard to believe it's been three years!! Poppy's grown into a sweet, good dog. She's a little bit stubborn and sassy, but I like that in a dog. We all love her so much!

Happy Gotcha Day, SweetPop!

    1. I miss her being a baby! She still seems like a pup to me, but she's obviously grown up.

    1. How old is Shirley now? A year? I know you understand the joy of a new puppy after losing a beloved old dog. She's brought so much brightness and fun to our home these past three years!

    2. Shirley is two now...we think. The pound told us that they thought she was about a year old, when we got her in November 2023. She grew some when we got her, so maybe she was younger than a year. I love her dearly and she has brought me so much joy.

  7. Oh my! I can't believe it's been 3 years now. I remember 'the occasion' when you brought her home and put her puppy pics up. She's grown into a beautiful young lady. 70 lbs. is a big dog. Try my 125 lb. Rottie!! LOL! Actually, the cat had a scarier attitude than the Rottweiler. Cats!! Hmm! Happy Birthday Poppy!

    1. Thank you! Rotties can be really sweet. I can see a cat ruling in a house with a Rottie! lol

  9. She looks similar to my daughter's two dogs in Australia. Dogs change our lives (for the better).

  12. Grown up Poppy looks strong and kind of menacing but looks can be deceiving. Here Poppy! Who's a good girl? ARFF! ARFF! "Aaaaargh get off me!"

  14. I remember when you adopted Poppy! She is certainly a beautiful dog. It's funny how her coat seemed to have so much more black in it when she was younger. Now she's more evenly brown, at least from what I can tell in the photos.

    1. She DID have a lot more black in her coat as a puppy, especially on her back.

  16. I was going to say the same as Steve, her coat was a lot darker when she was little. What a sweet little girl she was, and now she's all grown-up and still sweet :-)
