We had a big event at work today and a woman from Gregg's pet store brought some animals to talk about. This is a selfie I took of me and a new little buddy of mine!
I don't think keeping them as pets is a great idea, either. But this little guy lives with a woman who does educational events and reptile expos, and he has a great life. He's well cared for.
Not my preferred type of pet, either; I don't mind touching them (or other reptiles, for that matter) and think they are beautiful, but I just don't believe they are meant to live in someone's house. Unless someone has a LOT of room (and money) for a large climatized terrarium, that is.
awwwww. I adore him (? ) what a sweety.
ReplyDeleteYou are looking very good together.

He was very docile and sweet!
DeleteOh my, I didn't know you could snuggle a lizard. He's rather handsome.
ReplyDeleteHe is very handsome!
DeleteI cannot understand why people should keep such creatures as pets. No thanks!

DeleteYou are a brave woman Jennifer,(and looking good too:).
ReplyDeleteNo bravery necessary! He's quite tame and docile--nothing to be frightened of!
DeleteAs much As I like animals, I couldn't handle that!
ReplyDeleteJennifer, you are very pretty and young-looking.
Greetings Maria x
Thank you for the kind words! You could definitely have held him....he was slow moving, calm, and gentle.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you completely that 90% of the time, animals like this have no business living in captivity.
DeleteYour lips are pursed as if you are going in for a smooch. Lucky lizard!
ReplyDeleteHe seemed to enjoy being scratched and stroked under the chin!
DeleteMe too Jennifer.
DeleteVery cute picture of you both. Your buddy looks pretty happy.
ReplyDeleteHe's a chill little dude!
