I usually hate the end of summer but not this year. It was way too hot for most of it. It looks like you celebrated it in a fun way. How nice to see your lovely face.
I was going to suggest skinny dipping next time you are at the pool with the other girls but I thought better about making such a remark as it might be seen as lecherous.
I don't know mimosas (only the flowers), but I certainly know about refreshing drinks on a hot summer's day (or evening). O.K. and I spent the last day of August between his shaded balcony and the village fountain, which is always cold no matter how many weeks of hot weather we've had. The balmy evening saw us sipping G&Ts under a starry sky. Sunday meant a bike ride into town to have huge ice creams before it was sadly time for me to get the train back home. And now it is September, and already a lot cooler.
Onward, pretty lady! May Dorian skip past your neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteIt seems to be headed this way. And now it's a cat 5!
DeleteI like your sweet face.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I like this sweet comment! Thank you!
DeleteMuch the same here. It was very hot, and the pool was our only respite.
ReplyDeleteI love my friend's pool...we're always welcome to go swimming and we don't have to maintain anything!
DeleteHere, too, very hot, without a pool, with the air conditioner in the house all day.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't terribly hot here yesterday, but it was plenty warm enough for the pool.
DeleteMuch cooler here in SE England thank goodness. That pool looks very enticing ! What are Mimosas? Not heard of that as a drink.
ReplyDeleteChampagne and orange juice!
DeleteOh is that what it is...we call that Buck's Fizz !

ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to fall this year. Too much hot weather (and a/c problems) this summer for my taste!
DeleteHappy September and Labor Day.
ReplyDeleteSame to you Mitchell!!!

ReplyDeleteYou would have loved it, Anne Marie! We're a bunch of liberal Trump haters!
DeleteThe perfect end to the summer.
ReplyDeleteIt was really, really nice.
DeleteMimosas and a pool -- now that's a perfect combination!
ReplyDeleteYes! Nothing like a little champagne to turn a small party into a real celebration!
DeleteGlad you enjoyed yourself. Looks like you had a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to end the summer. The photos are great! I would have loved listening to the anti-Trump talk!
ReplyDeleteAnd a good time was had by all. How nice.
