Why shouldn't Santa be black? Makes as much sense as a white Santa. That's a great card! I bet you do love that little guy.
I absolutely agree! I thought it was charming and his mom thought it was hilarious. It's nice when black and white folks can laugh together at the absurdity of racism.
cool! nice card!
Love it! Black Santa makes perfect sense to me!
I love this!
Santa should be whatever you want. Santa is a feeling.Darling child.parsnip
It's delightful but I thought, at first, the head was a Christmas pudding!
Awesome covers it. Wonderful card.
And, of course, for black children, Santa IS black. And rightly so!
If Little P. were my friend, this would be my favourite Christmas card, too - no question about it!Historically, the man behind the Santa legend was from Turkey, as you know of course; so it is improbable that his skin was darker than that of the average Turkish person. But I agree with all the others here - Santa is anything to anyone, as long as you believe in him!
I like the way that Little P ran out of space with the word "Christmas" and had to squeeze it at the end - dropping the "s" to the line below.
What a sweetheart this little boy is! He did a great job.
I just love gifts like this sort.
How wonderful that he gave you beautiful card. He must love you also.
Awesome card!!!!Jennifer, thank you, so much, for your thoughtful and articulate response to my last post. I really do appreciate it.
