Somebody kept flying into the pantry every time I opened the door to take out an ingredient for our dinner tonight. And refused (refused!) to come back out.
He was after the walnuts and prepared to fight me for them.
He IS fun, but he can be a real pain in the ass, too. Everyone thinks it's all cuteness and fun and laughs with parrots...well, that's part of it, but there's also lots of ear-piercing shrieking, demands for attention, messiness, and they're about the most high maintenance pet you can imagine.
Well, we used to have a little rescue sparrow named Chip who came before Marco, and he lived in a ficus tree in our house, and that's how this blog got its name. :)
did you give him some?
ReplyDeleteHell no. I put him back in his cage!
Deletepoor marco! :(
Deletejust LOOK at that widdle innocent face! "mommy, just one walnut, ohpleaseohpleaseohplease!"
DeleteInnocent face? Bwahahaha....he growled and tried to bite me!
DeleteHahahahahahahahaha and more. Still laughing. Not too different from my cat!, who has no cage.

DeleteHe's part demon! Haha.
DeleteI wonder what it feels like, being a Parrot?
ReplyDelete10 pounds of attitude in a 5 pound package!
DeleteIt is like having a toddler in the house, only that this one can reach the highest shelves!
ReplyDeleteA toddler in the house....permanently. He'll probably outlive us both.
DeleteI love this beautiful creature.
ReplyDeleteHe's a lot of fun. :)
DeleteThat’s just heartless. Look at that face. How could you possibly turn him down?
ReplyDeleteHe growls and strikes at you like a damn cobra when you try to stop him from doing something he wants to do!
DeleteWhat a character he is and what fun you must have with him.

DeleteHe's a sparky little feathered man.
ReplyDeleteSparky! That's a good word for him.
DeleteI think you should consider calling your blog parrot tree journal. He’s pretty darn cute. I’d give him the walnuts.
ReplyDeleteWell, we used to have a little rescue sparrow named Chip who came before Marco, and he lived in a ficus tree in our house, and that's how this blog got its name. :)
DeleteWell, we can't really blame him, can we? Walnuts! And pecans! It's parrot heaven!
ReplyDeleteWe also keep sunflower seeds in the bottom for filling the outside bird feeders....he REALLY likes those.
DeleteI envy you this Marco.
ReplyDeleteIf I sent him to stay with you for a week or two you'd get over that real quick! Hahah.
DeleteWell at least you taught him who the parent is ! ! .....for today anyway.🤣
ReplyDeleteMarco has zero respect for authority! Ha!
DeleteCount your blessings when I open up the pantry in it I sometimes find a scorpion not a parrot.
ReplyDeleteI think you've met your match! Mean momma! lol
